Admission

Admission to the Museum is free every day. Admission to main exhibitions is free on Friday.

Friday, 10 am–9 pm
Closed Monday

Last entry into ticketed exhibitions is one hour before the Museum closes.

The Museum is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Richardson Memorial Library Hours
Tuesday–Friday, 10 am–4:30 pm

The Grace Taylor Broughton Sculpture Garden is open every day, 6 am to 10 pm.

Located in the heart of historic Forest Park, the Saint Louis Art Museum is one of the nation’s leading comprehensive art museums with collections that include works of art of exceptional quality from virtually every culture and time period. Beyond the collections, the Museum maintains a variety of services, amenities, and programs to make your visit enjoyable.

Parking

Free public parking is available in the two lots located on the north side of Fine Arts Drive, across from the Museum. Accessible parking is available in the public lots and in the parking garage. Accessible entrances to the Museum are located at the East Building and in the parking garage. An accessible drop-off area is located directly in front of the East Building.

Paid parking is available in the Museum’s three hundred-space underground parking garage, located on Fine Arts Drive. The garage is open to the public during Museum hours (thirty minutes prior to opening to thirty minutes after closing), and is available after hours for events in Forest Park, including the Art Hill Film Series.

Garage parking is $15 during peak months (March through October) and $10 during off-peak months. Members can park in the garage for $5.

Public Transportation

There are two MetroLink stops within walking distance of the Museum. The Skinker Station is approximately 0.8 of a mile from the Museum (a fifteen-minute walk), and the Forest Park-DeBaliviere Station is at the intersection of DeBaliviere Avenue and Forest Park Parkway just north of Forest Park.

The Museum is also served by the Forest Park Trolley between Memorial Day and Labor Day and by the 90 (Hampton) MetroBus the remainder of the year.

The Museum offers the following services to help you enjoy your visit. Visit one of the Information Centers for more information or for assistance at any time during your visit.

Strollers

Strollers are welcome in the Museum, but their use may be restricted in some areas such as the Museum Shops. Strollers are available for loan free of charge at the Information Centers.

Coat Check

The Museum offers visitors coat check areas in Taylor Hall and Sculpture Hall. At this time, we encourage you to leave backpacks and bags larger than 11 x 17 inches at home.

Lost and Found

To recover a lost item or to turn in a found item, please visit the coat check in Taylor Hall or call 314.655.5300.

Wi-Fi

Free public Wi-Fi is available to visitors on the SLAM_Guest Network.
