Because works of art on paper are light sensitive, they can only be exhibited for short periods of time. Exhibitions from the Museum’s collection of more than 16,000 prints, drawings, and photographs spanning the history of art in Europe, the Americas, and Asia are displayed in the galleries for prints, drawings, and photographs and elsewhere throughout the Museum on a rotating basis. A small, but always growing number of highlights from our collections are represented online.
Individuals and groups are invited to make appointments to view works on paper in the Study Room. The space and the collection are versatile and can provide many types of engagement.
