Bring the whole family to the Saint Louis Art Museum for art-inspired fun.

Family Sundays
You’re invited to the Museum every Sunday afternoon for hands-on art activities and a lively 30-minute family tour through the Galleries. Each month’s family activities focus on a different, family-friendly theme. Family Tour leaves at 2:30 pm.

July

Kid Tested, Parent Approved
Knights, mummies, and masks all share the spotlight during July Family Sundays. Each week’s activities will highlight the collections that kids and parents love with tours through galleries and related art activities.

Stop by on July 26 for storytelling and a special visit from Karl the Knight!

There will be no Family Sunday on Sunday, July 5.

August

Where the Wild Things Are
Catch a tiger by its tail, ride a galloping horse, and spot a primate or two with the Family Sundays crew. Take a family safari through the Museum’s galleries and make your own creative creatures to take home.

August 16
Special Family Sunday: Passport to India
Join the Saint Louis Art Museum and the Center for Indian Cultural Education–Bal Vihar St. Louis as we celebrate Indian Independence Day. Create your own Indian-inspired piece of jewelry, walk through SLAM’s Indian Bazaar, and see a high-energy Indian dance and musical performance in the Museum’s Farrell Auditorium

September

Artful Africa
Explore the continent of Africa and its artistic traditions with Family Sundays in September. Join a tour of the collection to explore sculptures, masks, and textiles made in Africa, and then make your own work of art based on what you see.

Join us to look at and make amazing art—no experience necessary. Museum classes give young learners the opportunity to explore different cultures, time periods, and, of course, art!
