Family Sundays
You’re invited to the Museum every Sunday afternoon for hands-on art activities and a lively 30-minute family tour through the Galleries. Each month’s family activities focus on a different, family-friendly theme. Family Tour leaves at 2:30 pm.

Winter Celebrations
Sundays in December, noon–4:00 pm
Drop in for a winter celebration every Sunday in December. Experience a different culture each week with art activities, scavenger hunts, performances, and special treats.

Kwanzaa: Honoring Our Past,Strengthening Our Present
Sunday, December 28, noon–4:00 pm
Kwanzaa program sponsored in collaboration with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., St. Louis Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter.

January

Wear your Art on your Sleeve
Sundays in January, 1:00 – 4:00 pm
From helmets and masks to jewelry and shoes, the Museum is packed with wearable art. Visit Family Sundays in January to create your own art garb and discover some of the fantastic objects in our collection.

January 25
Nick Cave Soundsuits
Get ready to dance and make some noise as Family Sundays celebrate artist Nick Cave and his amazing Soundsuits. The afternoon will include costume-making, gallery hunts, and an energetic African dance performance in the Museum's auditorium at 2:00 pm.

February

Travels through Asia
Sundays in February, 1:00 – 4:00 pm
Celebrate the arts of Asia on Sundays in February. Learn about the world's largest continent and the art produced by its peoples with make-and-take art projects and guided tours through the galleries.

February 15
It's the Year of the Goat!
Celebrate the Chinese New Year with an afternoon of activities at SLAM. Make your own paper lantern, view a traditional Chinese calligraphy demonstration, and walk away with an original piece of kirigami (Japanese paper-cutting). While you're here, pop in for a special performance in the Museum's Farrell Auditorium at 2:00 pm

March

Tales of Ancient Egypt
Sundays in March, 1:00 – 4:00 pm
Dig into the world of mummies, pharaohs, and mythological beasts with Family Sundays at the Saint Louis Art Museum. Travel back in time to ancient Egypt with a tour of the galleries and take part in art activities inspired by our collection of Egyptian art.

March 8
Art in Bloom Family Florals
Art in Bloom is a wonderful time for families to visit and explore. Enjoy free, hands-on art activities in Sculpture Hall, pick up a scavenger hunt to take a floral-filled journey into the galleries, and see a special performance in The Farrell Auditorium at 1:00 pm.

Join us to look at and make amazing art—no experience necessary. Museum classes give young learners the opportunity to explore different cultures, time periods, and, of course, art!
