The collection galleries in the East Building will explore the development of postwar American art. Home to works by artists such as Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, Frank Stella, Ellsworth Kelly, Anne Truitt, Andy Warhol, Donald Judd and Richard Serra, the galleries will also include more recent works by artists such as Kiki Smith, Kerry James Marshall, Leonardo Drew, Teresita Fernández, and Julie Mehretu.

It is curated by Simon Kelly, curator of modern and contemporary art, and Tricia Y. Paik, assistant curator of modern and contemporary art.
