Art in Bloom 2023
Art in Bloom, the Museum’s annual celebration of flowers and fine art, returns as an in-person festival in 2023. Dozens of works from the Museum’s collection will be imaginatively interpreted through floral design by the region’s most talented florists. In addition to the floral displays, the festival includes special ticketed events, family activities, dining, and shopping.
The Museum will offer exclusive Member hours from 8 to 10 am on all three days of the festival.
Scroll down for much more information about festival events, parking and the Art in Bloom shuttle, dining options, and the designers of this year’s Art in Bloom floral installations.

Art in Bloom events
Art in Bloom Preview Party
See the flowers first during a special ticketed Art in Bloom preview event on the evening of Thursday, March 2. This year’s preview party will feature fine food (and bubbles!) in Sculpture Hall, with live music and an exclusive first viewing of the always stunning creations of Art in Bloom. We will also fete our featured presenter, Gabriela Salazar, visiting from her floristry school and beautiful garden in Valle de Bravo, Mexico. Select for tickets.
Featured LECTURE: The Garden and the Artistry of Floral Design
Gabriela Salazar will discuss her unique floral design approach and vision for her garden and Heartfelt Floristry school in Valle de Bravo, Mexico, during a talk and live floral arranging demonstration in SLAM’s Farrell Auditorium at 7 pm on Friday, March 3. Tickets are available at the Museum and via MetroTix.
Flowers After Hours
Sold out—Avoid the daytime crowds by attending Flowers After Hours, a new, limited-capacity experience on Saturday evening with live music, cocktails, and more for visitors 21 and older.
Family Florals
Bring the whole family for floral-inspired art activities and a scavenger hunt through the galleries from noon to 4 pm on Sunday.
Parking and Museum Shuttle
Park in the Forest Park Visitors Center parking lots and ride the Museum’s free shuttle to Art in Bloom.
The shuttle will depart every 20 minutes, all weekend long. Due to high attendance, the Museum’s parking lots and parking garage will have very limited availability. When planning your arrival at Forest Park, we suggest avoiding the Hampton entrance by the Saint Louis Zoo. Please allow enough time for parking to arrive at the Museum at least 30 minutes prior to the start of all ticketed programs.
