Family Sundays: Winter Celebrationnoon–4:00 pm
Every Sunday afternoon in December, visit the Saint Louis Art Museum for multicultural winter celebrations! Each week will have a different theme and feature art activities from noon until 4:00 pm, a scavenger hunt through the galleries, and a special performance in The Farrell Auditorium.
Sunday, December 8, 2:30 pm - Hanukkah
Enjoy storytelling by Barbara Raznick, Director of the Saul Brodsky Jewish Community Library, as well as performances by the Epstein Hebrew Academy Choir and Will Soll and the Klezmer Conspiracy.
Sunday, December 15, 2:30 pm - Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe
See the story of Our Lady of Guadalupe performed by students from Our Lady of Guadalupe School accompanied by Father Jack Schuler and Sister Cathy Doherty. The performance will also include traditional Matachines dancers.
Sunday, December 22, 2:30 pm - Christmas
Join us for Endless Forest Nutcracker, a non-traditional take on the classic ballet presented by Dance Project St. Louis.
Sunday, December 29, 2:00 pm - Kwanzaa
Learn about the Seven Principles of Kwanzaa with a scavenger hunt and make your own zawadi (gift). At 2:00 p.m., join us for a free performance in the Farrell Auditorium featuring the Kumasi Kamberg Drumming and Dance Ensemble, LIVETY: Indigenous Dance, and storytelling. Presented in collaboration with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., St. Louis Metropolitan Alumni Chapter.
