Since 2002, the Museum has hosted a celebration of the legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., with keynote speakers, spoken-word and music performances.

Art in Bloom

The Museum's annual three-day celebration of art and flowers, this popular weekend features floral arrangements throughout the galleries, special dining options, classes, talks, demonstrations, family activities, and more.

Triptych: A Tour of Modern Paris in Three Parts

March 25, 2017, 9 am–1:30 pm
$20 adults / $10 students

Join Elizabeth C. Childs, Etta and Mark Steinberg Professor of Art History and chair of the Department of Art History & Archaeology in Arts & Sciences; Simon Kelly, curator of modern and contemporary art at the Saint Louis Art Museum; and Tamara Schenkenberg, associate curator at the Pulitzer Arts Foundation, on a three-part tour of local exhibitions that explore modern art in Paris. Photographs, fashion, posters, and sculptures capture the nightlife and cultural values of this unique period.

A shuttle will take visitors to each location, departing from the Pulitzer Arts Foundation at 9 am. The tour begins at the Saint Louis Art Museum with Degas, Impressionism, and the Paris Millinery Trade, then travels to the Kemper Art Museum for Spectacle and Leisure in Paris: Degas to Mucha, and culminates at the Pulitzer Arts Foundation with Medardo Rosso: Experiments in Light and Form. Lunch with the curators follows.

Art Hill Film Series

Four Fridays in July. Films start at 9:00 pm. Party starts at 6:00 pm.
Each summer, over a thousand people gather on Art Hill in Forest Park to enjoy popular film classics, food trucks, music, and art-making.

Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra Landmarks Series

Enjoy a free chamber performance on Art Hill by musicians of the St. Louis Symphony as part of this exciting free summer series. Details available in Spring 2016.

Symposia and Study Days

Local, national, and international scholars explore a featured topic or exhibition in-depth in these one or two-day programs. Registration will open in February 2017 for the symposium Degas, Impressionism, and the Paris Millinery Trade, to be held February 10-11, 2017. For more information, email symposium@slam.org.
